COVID-19 Business Update

Company news • 24 March 2020

Andy Blundell, CEO

As the outbreak of Coronavirus (Covid-19) continues to expand I wanted to provide an update personally to advise of our current position and the activities we have in plan with the aim of maintaining the critical service we provide to our clients.

Through our risk and business continuity team we continue to monitor our own position, the Government position here in the UK and the advice of all of the authorities across our territories globally. Currently, we have some staff self-isolating but no confirmed cases of the virus and we have not seen an impact to our service provision. In these challenging times, working together to keep our families, communities and workforce safe is our biggest priority.

We take our role in supporting you, your business and your customers very seriously and will continue to keep you informed of our activities, which are aimed at maintaining the services we provide. We are providing daily updates through an online ‘bulletin board’ and if you would like access to this please email your primary contact and we’ll make the necessary arrangements.
Some of the activities and plans we have in place are:

  • A daily call at Exec level to understand the position both within Communisis and more widely enabling critical decision making when and if necessary
  • We continue to use our pandemic and business continuity plans to drive activities across our sites and are carrying out regular scenario testing as the situation and advice changes
  • We have stopped all but essential business travel and asked those who can to work from home to protect our production sites. To this end we have extended our IT provision to ensure staff are fully able to fulfil their roles
  • Improved frequency of cleaning with enhanced ‘deep cleans’ available to any area where this is required. Additionally, we are ensuring our sites have access to essentials such as hand sanitiser
  • Our paid sickness offering has been extended to ensure that staff who need to self-isolate or are unwell do not feel the need to come into work
  • Introduced an additional staff communication programme aimed at providing essential advice but also maintaining morale and wellbeing in these difficult times

We will continue to share regular updates in the first instance through our online daily bulletin but I will also personally keep you informed should the position change dramatically. Now, more than ever, working together is absolutely vital, both within Communisis and with our clients and partners. Our dedicated workforce are always on hand to help should you require any additional support.

Finally, we are all aware that the COVID-19 pandemic is a serious situation and unprecedented in our times, we will continue to do everything we can to protect the health and safety of our employees, clients, and partners and the critical services which we provide to you. On behalf of the entire Communisis team, we appreciate your support and vigilance during this time and sincerely hope that any impacts to you, your colleagues or families are minimal.

Yours Sincerely

Andy Blundell
