We’ve made a successful name for ourselves over the years in having worked closely with our clients to solve the problems they have and to create the opportunities they need. That’s exactly what you need to do for your customers. The trick? Getting personal.
Making something ‘more you’ makes it instantly more attractive, desirable and buyable. It’s like it was made for you, and that you’d almost be missing out or incomplete without having it in your life. We need to be thinking about speaking directly to our customers and being unafraid to get personal.
Certain purchases are only ever going to be one size fits all because they do the job that’s needed and that’s the end of it. But when it comes to the non-essentials, the impulse buys and the luxuries, it pays to personalise, and if through your visuals you can show shoppers what the end results are going to be like post-purchase, then even better.
Making clever use of mirrors, variations on a theme, and even name/image branded options will be a big draw to customers who crave to consume things that are perfectly ‘them’.
If there was ever a way to actively speak to your customers, then using their situation, their style and even their name is going to be hard to beat as the way to do it.
