Communisis Leeds facilities play host to CBI delegation

6 October 2011

Leading marketing services provider Communisis has today played host to a visiting delegation from the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).

Andy Blundell, Chief Executive of Communisis, hosted a tour of the Leeds-based facility for John Cridland, CBE, Director General of the CBI and Andrew Palmer, regional director of the CBI. The visit took in highlights of the facility including a guide to their advanced personalised print technology - the HP T300 printers which were the first machines of their kind in the UK.

Throughout the tour a wide range of topics were discussed. The CBI delegates were interested to learn about Communisis’ growth in export markets and their contribution to sustaining employment throughout the local area and the wider economy, as well as the company’s use of sophisticated data and creative services to deliver personalised communications.

The visit coincided with the Annual CBI Dinner which took place on Wednesday evening at Leeds University with keynote speeches from John Cridland, CBE and Leader of the Opposition Ed Miliband, Labour Party Leader and MP of Doncaster South.

Andy Blundell said "We were delighted that John and Andrew could spend time with us at Communisis and give us the opportunity to demonstrate our growth plans. The current CBI agenda is very relevant to companies such as ours."
