My background prior to joining Communisis was predominantly the Paper industry; 20 years of marketing and selling paper and paper based substrates to the Print, Packaging; Local Government, Education, Greeting card industries to name but a few. I left university with an Honours degree in Marketing and Business, which has stood me in good stead over the years; I am one of the lucky few of my generation able carve a career using the degree I left university with!
Working for a FTSE company has always been an aspiration of mine; so when I was offered a role, working for Communisis; a FTSE company offering a broad range of products and services and a diverse portfolio of household brand names; this was a great opportunity; one I seized with both hands.
I am the Client Services Manager for one of our major clients, managing an onsite team of 9 highly experienced and professional Account managers; we generate some 306 million pieces of Direct Mail and Marketing print for them last year!
In addition to servicing the clients in a competent and professional manner from an operational perspective; we also act as consultants, trouble shooting, adding value by making strategic recommendations around present and future state marketing plans.
